“Wiggle, Wiggle, Wiggle, Wiggle, Wiggle YA….Wiggle, Wiggle, Wiggle, Wiggle, Wiggle YA”

Serina & JM’s Mexico Wedding // Part 3
This was the most beautiful, natural and romantic wedding ceremony I have ever been too, and having their own vows written only made it better.

I always try to get the grooms expression when he first see’s his bride, Jean-Marc’s expression says it all

ha ha I love Matthew’s expression here!

Post #4 the reception and some AWESOME dance photos will be up early next week.
Enjoy your weekend

P.S. there will be 2 more post after this one over the next few day, so be sure to check back.
Lindsay & Matt // MARRIED
What a great way to end the 2011 Wedding season, Lindsay and Matt’s wedding was perfect and was totally them.
When I meet with Lindsay and Matt a couple weeks before the wedding, I asked her if she had any ideas for wedding photos she told me “As long and you get pictures of my shoes, Emma and Peter (her niece and nephew) she wouldn’t care if she had anything else” …someone hates pictures ha ha.
So I’m gonna start this blog post with The Ceremony Shoes!!!

The Reception Shoes & her something blue!!!

The Dancing Shoes

The Beautiful Ceremony location, aka The Sheraton Hotel

I LOVED Lindsay’s reaction to …”I now pronounce you husband and wife”

HA HA HA Don’t ask….

The girls bustin a move down to O’Riley’s

Lesley & Shane // MARRIED
It’s crazy how fast 8 hours goes by when your doing a wedding, you get out of bed with the flu (still) and thinking uggg this is gonna be a long day, next thing you know your at the ceremony then the reception, next thing you know your done for the night. I guess it help when you have an amazing Bride and Groom and their amazing families.
Shane and Lesley were having a rough week leading up to the wedding, their currently building a new house (which is enough frustration in itself), then a dog bite happened, then one of the Groomsman got sick(and was hospitalized), it seemed like there was no end in sight….until Sunday, the day of their wedding everything went beautifully and smoothy.

A beautiful pair of earring’s that belonged to Lesley’s Grandmother, who recently passed away.

Flower girl Teegan preparing for her walk down the aisle.

The happiest man in the world as he watched his Bride!!!!

The Groom a bit jealous maybe ha ha!!

Susan & Peter // MARRIED
So I don’t have a lot to write only that this Wedding was Superb!!!! From the beautiful Bride, the Groom and his Irish accent, the bridal party was Fabulous, and the weather was perfect!!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Susan’s dress!!!!

A Shot of the boys hanging out before the ceremony

Jenn & Mike \\ MARRIED
Jenn and Mike tied the knot on Friday, the weather was beautiful, the Groom looked handsome and the bride looked out of this world beautiful!!!!
So I asked Jenn’s 2 brother’s Colin and Andrew to give Jenn a kiss during the family photos, I love the reaction I got!!!!!

1, 2, 3 ……POSE – it was a common quote all day with Jenn and her family ha ha!!

I already posted this picture in a sneak peek post but I just had to add it again.

On our way to Signal Hill for photos we meet Geneya King, she was parked across from the Geo Center selling handmade Ugly Sticks. Photo Op…Definitely!!!! I may have to post the video later of Jenn and Mike dancing and singing up a storm!!!! Thanks Geneya, Great Job on the Ugly Sticks!!

Sneak Peek for Jenn & Mike
Here’s a sneak peak from yesterdays wedding with Jenn ad Mike in the Newman Wine Vaults – and No I didn’t see any ghosts lol

Christa & Jeff = MARRIED
Great day, great couple, and great bridal party, makes for an even GREATER wedding. Christa and Jeff’s wedding was perfect and so much fun…minus the part were I almost got carried away by the flys ha ha.
Most girls have a passion for shoes – like Christa, However I’m not much of a shoe lover, I’m an earring lover, and these earrings are spectacular!!!!

I LOVE seeing the Groom’s face when he first see’s his Bride walking down the to become his wife!!!!!

Ba Da Ba Ba Ba She’s lovin it!!! – sorry had to put that in there

Laura & Richard// MARRIED
Laura waiting for her grand entrance!!

What a great way to spend my birthday, hanging out at Laura and Richard’s Wedding, it was a beautiful ceremony that was held in the Groom’s Aunt’s Condo on Water Street – I have to add a big WOW that place was AMAZING!!! Family and a few close friends made the day just so personal and perfect, with a view of St. John’s harbor to top it all off!!

Best of 2010 – Part II
As promised, here are some of my favorite shoots that I took summer 2010 at the 3 weddings that I did solo(with out Lori Moss). I had so much fun at each wedding and I couldn’t have asked for better bride’s. If it wasn’t raining cats and dogs, it was foggy, and by foggy- I don’t mean a light fog, I mean THICK fog, the kinda of fog where you can hardly see the person 5 ft away!!! But at each and every wedding we made it work and at the end of the day I had amazing images of their special day. Enjoy
JENNY & RYAN

STEPHANIE & JOHN

LORI & STEPHEN

The Best of 2010!!!
The 2010 Wedding season has come to and end, along with the year 2010.. and believe it or not I’m kinda sad it’s over, we (Lori Moss and myself) shoot some great weddings and our brides from those weddings will be our lifelong friends!!! I assisted/second shoot 11 wedding with Lori last year and I think I cried at each and every wedding(I’m a big sap when it comes to romance!!!).
Here are some of my favorite images from the 2010 wedding season, working with Lori – I’ll be doing another blog post in a couple days with images from 3 weddings I shoot on my own.

Stephen + Lori = August 7, 2010
One of ‘THE’ best weddings ever, and luckily enough the weather held up… well except for the fog, which is nothing unusual for the Burin Peninsula. Stephen and Lori have been together for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ummm… lets just say A LOT of years, but it was all worth it, they make a great couple and there going to make even better parents. Now, Lori and Stephen after you look at these pictures go make some grand babies…..oh and lock the door!!!!!
The image below is of Lori’s new nephew (whom was suppose to be a girl!!!!), he was born a couple days before the wedding, so unfortunately her sister and family couldn’t make it to the wedding.
As a fisherwoman?? Lori was in her element, where a I was over holding a pole…and we weren’t even moving at that point ha ha
The First Kiss was a steamy one!!!!!!
Lori’s mom was calling me “Snap Happy” ALL DAY….so her dad had to get a picture of me
This is Lori’s Grandmother impersonating Hulk Hogan ha ha ha GRRRRRRRR
and last but not least, a picture of Lori and I - I’ve known Lori for 15 years and I was so happy that I could be apart of her big day. Congratulation Lori and Stephen!!!!
John + Stephanie = MARRIED
Rain, rain go away, come again another day…..That’s the song I was singing on Saturday (to myself of course) as it poured from the heaven’s above. God’s timing couldn’t have been any better though, about 10 min before Stephanie headed to the church it stopped raining and the sun was a shinnin, a beautiful day for a wedding.
A BEAUTIFUL family join together by marriage!!!!
I’m sure Stephanie’s jaw was sore later, because she was smiling her beautiful smile ALL DAY!!!
*** NOTE – no one was harmed in the catching of this bouquet haha
I seriously LAUGH OUT LOUD when I look at this picture!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS John and Stephanie, I wish you both a life time full of laughter, tears, and memories together. Now it’s time to have some babies ha ha!!!
Happy Birthday
Saturday, January 16th Hunter and I drove to Clarenville for a very special party. A Child’s first birthday is one that a parent never forget and a child never remembers, so I was honored when Michelle asked me to capture the party (God knows she didn’t have the time to do it). With about 20 kids, lots and lots of food(which was hard on the diet) , and a very special Birthday Boy, it was a get First Birthday.
Happy 1st Birthday Benjamin Gilbert Short!!!! I LOVE YOU BUNCHES!!!
This Cake was SO DELICIOUS!!!
Uncle Lou and the Birthday Boy
This is what you get when you ask a bunch of kids to make a FUNNY face!!!
A beautiful moment between Nanny and Ben
Finger Lickin Good!!!
This little boy hated getting his pictures taken but I managed to get this Shot and I LOVE IT!!

Poppy and the Birthday Boy
The Cake Spike ha ha ha
All tuckered out from a great FIRST birthday
HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY BEN!!!!!
Mr. & Mrs Andrew Collins
In a previous post I blogged about Karen and Andrew’s Wedding Day A few weeks after their Wedding they got all geared up again just for me, we went out and took oh a few hundred pictures and had a great time.
I’m so excited to be able to post these pictures…Finally ha ha.
Thanks to Andrew and Karen for being such great models.
Baby Bump
Baby bumps are beautiful, and there was no exception to Wendy’s bump. Wendy and her husband dropped over yesterday and we got straight to work, capturing great images of this precious moment. Being able to carry a baby is a true blessing from god, as Wendy is due to deliver in a few weeks, her and her husband decided to not know the sex of the baby and let it be a surprise….I think it’s a boy.
Nate Gates – Workshop
A couple weeks ago I took a workshop with an outstanding Newfoundland Photographer…Nate Gates does amazing work, he has an amazing eye for poses, and a natural approach on composition.
Our first night of the workshop was ALL about lighting, and the second night we took a class trip to Middle Cove where we shot with a beautiful model (Katie O’Connoll) and learned how to properly use flash and add textures to images.

Tanya & Curtis
Yesterday evening I had the great pleasure of taking my cousin Tanya’s engagement pictures, we had originally had them booked for last tuesday, but rescheduled do to a workshop I was taking(more on that in a following post). Fort Amherst was always a place that I wanted to shoot in but never thought about it when the time came, until I seen images from another photographer (Charla.ca). Fort Amherst is a beautiful, rustic, interesting place which only makes for a greater picture and Tanya and Curtis looked stunning.
Tanya and Curtis currently live in Seattle, but are getting married in Mount Pearl in 7 days. I’m so excited for their wedding , Tanya is going to make a stunnig Bride and Curtis is gonna make one handsome Groom…oh did I mention that they have the cutest ring bearer (Hunter), not only are they stunning and handsome but they are so head over heals about each other.
Check out some of my favorite images of the day.

Trash the Dress – Part 2
People say jobs are not fun….well I beg to differ this is the best!!!
As a starting out Wedding Photographer it’s very difficult to get bookings so I bought this wedding dress a few months back with the intention on trashing it and getting amazing pictures to make my portfolio and that I did. Today was the best, it way so much fun and even though I sliced open my toe and could possibly do with a couple stitches it was still a great day.
Thanks to the lady I bought the $900 Wedding Dress off for a mear $60. Also, our 2 K-9 models Willow and Lu Lu, and the random guy who let us use his fishing pole. And a HUGE thanks to my beautiful best friend/model Chantel(she really should try modeling professionally).
America’s Next Top Model is my inspiration for this shot.

Chantel was trying to catch little fish all evening with her hands ha ha…maybe this will help.
Beautiful Ellie
Debbie got in contact with me a few months ago about getting pictures done of her daughter Ellie who was 9 mths old at the time and not walking, well it’s now safe to say that nothing was holding her back yesterday while we were shooting. Ellie is now 11 months old and very active, reminds me of my son Hunter, he was cruising around the couch at 9 1/2 month and walking by himself at 10 1/2 month’s old – that’s when the trouble began.
Ellie is such a beautiful little girl with her big blue eyes and cute little baby legs. Makes me wanna have a girl (ha ha). So of course this wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t show you proof of how cute she is, so check out the pictures below.

CLARIFY Workshop
I learned alot this weekend past from Lori Moss and Charla.ca as they had us shooting with a real couple (Kim and Andrew) that are truly in love and getting married in October, they were an amazing couple, so beautiful together.
Looking for the light and watch the light is super important when taking pictures, the right lighting can make your image. Metering, exposure, lines, framing, composition and how to edit properly are all things that you need to know. I’m super glad that I took the workshop, and can’t wait for more of their workshops-both Lori and Charla make learning (very confusing things) easy and interesting.
I know that I have a lot of images added to this post but I just couldn’t decide. Oh did I mention that I won a little prize for having a perfectly detailed and exposed image(of the back of her dress), Yahh I was so proud.
